Building material characterisation and architectural design

Three sub-projects characterise and modify fungal composites from a building materials engineering and architectural perspective. In addition, hybrid materials are produced and investigated by combining fungal composites with inorganic and organic materials from the building materials industry, with the aim of developing new property profiles. Fungal composites needed as test samples, prototypes, and for the 1:1 demonstrators are produced by the Service Project and also provided for user acceptance research in collaboration with the Science Communication Project.
