IRTG

Integrated Research Training Group

The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) run by Prof. Anette Rudolph and Prof. J. Philipp Benz aims to train young scientists in the broad methodological spectrum of MY-CO BUILD, from molecular biology to engineering to architecture, from mechanistic modelling to artificial intelligence, from disciplinary thinking to inter- and transdisciplinary working, from data curation, presentation, scientific writing to exploitation.

To achieve excellence in science and support their future career, the consortium includes a specific Graduate Research Programme that reflects the overall goal of the CRC: to support a new generation of scientists with strong specialist training complimented by inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives. With the help of an excellent and comprehensive training programme, various networking formats in science, industry, and society as well as diversity-sensitive mentoring, they are enabled to achieve scientific independence at an early stage and to develop as individuals.

Different career paths within and outside of academia are presented and discussed at an early stage, so that young talents can be supported in their respective orientation in the (non-)academic labour market.
